Funded: €6M Capital For Limerick’s New Footbridge

€6m capital funding in the recent budget Limerick’s new Footbridge and Riverway to create a ‘Wow’-filled Interpretative Journey over the Shannon. A new footbridge for Limerick City, which has been allocated €6m capital funding in the recent budget, is the outcome of a ‘Tourism Proposition and Interpretation Framework for Limerick City and County’ commissioned by Fáilte Ireland earlier this year. The framework document by Sherwood Associates, working with Denis Byrne Architects and Cleary Connolly proposed the construction of a new riverside connection along the River Shannon as a major transformational project to create a new “Riverway” and a ‘Wow’-filled interpretative journey
