Carrig National School

Carrig National School is a collection of buildings that has evolved over nearly a century of time. With increased pupil pressure due to local demographic changes, the school was required to more than double in size to meet the needs of the community it serves. This latest phase in its ongoing story saw the uncovering of the original schoolhouse and the careful placement of the new accommodation to retain and enhance the setting of the school and adjoining church grouping.
