Winner: DBA wins The Architectural Review Work Award 2016
‘More island community than office….’
Four international projects were shortlisted from over a hundred entries for the AR Work Award 2016. Obviously we are delighted that our Gas Networks Ireland Services Centre building was chosen as the winner. (www.architectural-review.com/…/more…/10001972.article)
Denis Byrne Architects gained the commission following a two stage international architectural competition administered by the RIAI on behalf of Bord Gáis Networks. The design of the new building reflects Bord Gáis Networks’ commitment to environmental protection, energy conservation and sustainable development. The building design promotes an integrated sustainable design approach that combines Microclimate, Biodiversity and Landscape, Water Management, use of Renewable Energy Technologies with a compact building featuring a low energy design concept, to establish a service facility with a high quality and permeable work environment.
Big thanks are due to our clients Bord Gáis Networks, the full Denis Byrne Architects project team, the wider design team and the builders, Walls Construction.
